Here’s the full procedure for making a DVD from something on your TiVo:<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n
  1. Browse to https:\/\/your TiVo’s IP address<\/i><\/li>\n

    Log in with user=tivo and password=Your TiVo’s MAK<\/i><\/p>\n

  2. Download the show. We’ll call it tvshow.TiVo<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  3. Convert to MPEG<\/li>\n

    tivodecode -m MAK<\/i> -o tvshow-orig.mpg tvshow.TiVo<\/code><\/p>\n

  4. Optional: Edit with Gopdit<\/li>\n

    gopdit tvshow-orig.mpg<\/code><\/p>\n

    Save to tvshow.mpg<\/p>\n

  5. Transcode for NTSC DVD<\/li>\n

    ffmpeg -i tvshow.mpg -target ntsc-dvd tvshow.vob<\/code><\/p>\n

  6. Create DVD Author file<\/li>\n

    Make a file called tvshow-dvdauthor.xml that contains this:<\/p>\n

  7. Create the DVD structure<\/li>\n

  8. Check the DVD<\/li>\n
    mplayer dvd:\/\/ -dvd-device .\/dvd<\/code><\/p>\n
  9. Burn the DVD<\/li>\n
