Lucent WinModem
The ThinkWiki entry for the Thinkpad i1472 says it has a Lucent 1644 56K Modem, which is a WinModem. From

scanModem to identify linmodem.
The Lucent modem is supported and there is an RPM package. This works, but the modem doesn't support caller ID.
